39,000 ELEPHANTS DIED BY POACHING BETWEEN 2009 AND 2012

Due to the report of the Network of Protected Areas in Southern Tanzania (SPA-NEST),it was observed that the rate of elephant reduced from 109,000 to 70,000 in the year of 2009 to 2012.

according to the research this result comes to
high rate of the ivory trade to china and Asia due to availability of ivory. According to the situation
( SPA-NEST ) suggested the improvement of the communication against the ivory trade in order to catch up poachers and so far to improve the relation between Tanzania and Asia countries and China in order to fight together as one on this preventation.
