Korea's rainy season, the longest ever

It seems endless on and off rainy days hit Korean peninsular.

According to the Weather Forecast Agency, this year Korea will have the longest rainy season ever in its history. The average annual rainy days are 32 dayshowever, the Weather Forecast Agency predicts that this year the rainy season will be lasting 49 days, which is two week more than the average.

The experts are saying the reason for this unusual event is due to the melting of Arctic iceberg.  NSIDC(National Snow and Ice Data Center) also reports that ice extent remains decreased rapidly the first two weeks of July due to the warmer temperature over much of arctic sea. 

The extended rainy season highly affects the life of Korean as well. Five districts in KangWon Province has announced as disaster areas.
