.JPG) .JPG) .JPG) .JPG) .JPG) .JPG) .JPG) The Milo Marathon eliminations in San Pablo City was held on July 21, 2013. After the run, the FSLF Kids with their moderator, Ms. Tin Carandang picked up litter left by runners and observers. I ran in the 5k division against other high school and college students and adults. We ran around the largest of the seven lakes in our City then followed a route that measured a whole 5 kilometers. Although I was tired, I helped the young FSLF Kids in their clean-up. This is an activity that we do every year after the Milo Marathon. It is interesting how there is so much litter after the event. The grounds are littered with paper cups that were used by the runners to drink their Milo chocolate drink. I don't know why it is so difficult for the runners and other event participants and observers to throw their cups into the trash bins that are all over the place. Maybe one they will learn to dispose of their wastes properly and not wait for the little FSLF Kids and us Youth to pick up after them. |
