World?s largest book - at 1,500kg - displayed in Dubai

Book measures 16.40ft x 26.44ft, weighs approximately 1,500kg and consists of 429 pages

One of the UAE?s most prestigious & one of the world?s largest shopping malls ?Dubai Mall? has been honoured with the placement of world?s largest book called ?This is Mohammed?. The largest book measures 5m x 8.06m (16.40ft x 26.44ft), weighs approximately 1,500 kg  and consists of 429 pages.

Over 50 people took part in the construction of the book which is titled ?This is Mohammed,? and is a compilation of stories highlighting the lifetime achievements of Islam?s Prophet as well as the positive influence of Islam on the international and humanitarian scene.

The book was created over a period of nine months. The book is made from paper and felix, while the cover and base are made from titanium.

As soon as I came to know of  it , I utilised this rare opportunity and went to experience the world?s biggest book highlights the biography of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), as well as art work by renowned Emirati artist Mattar Bin Lahej.

The display of this book is a part of activities during holy month of Ramadan.

I felt so nice to be there with the book . Visitors are asked to sign and write their message (if any) on that special fabric/paper+felix material which is also displayed alongside  the book. It is said that once this gathers  1 million signatures , this will form the 430^th page of this largest book. How nice! Glad to be part of this historical milestone.
