Elif Bilgin,16 years old teenager brings the new revolution in the field of Environment protection. Turkish student-scientist Elif Bilgin from Istanbul, has spent two years experimenting with ways to produce a bio plastic out of used banana peels. The young scientist says that the banana bioplastics that could be used for the electrical insulation of cables. Bio plastics she made is Eco-friendly and cheaper as compared to the petroleum based plastics. It has potentialities for decreasing the pollution. Bilgin's endeavors won her the top prize and $50,000 at the Scientific American Science in Action competition, as well as the honor of becoming at one of finalist in the Google science fair.
