Video conference with people associated with environmental activities in Switzerland

by | 12-07-2013 17:37

Hot Stuff Climate Net is a group based in Switzerland. They conduct workshops on sustainability in both Switzerland and in Kenya. They do amazing stuff along with myclimate, who had come to the Student's Workshop last year where I had my message recorded and sent back to Switzerland. Today, being International Day for Biodiversity, they had a program of displaying sustainable items that were hand-made b the students there.

I got invited to a video conference where I got to see everything that they made. They had bags that were made from recycled or reused stuff. There was a bag that was made out of a half-basketball, some old piece of silk and a Converse shoe. That was just amazing. And then they had a bookshelf that was made of, well, old books. It actually made me want to run all the way there and buy it!!! Then they had some girls showing off their baking skills with muffins that were covered with recycled paper. It just made my mouth?.

Also there was a call with Kenya where they too had designed their own bags and bookshelves. They were brilliant and fascinating to see. The amount of hardwork they had put into the making of the bags and bookshelves was really fascinating.

It was a nice experience sharing over video conference on various positive initiatives taken by various people around the world and I felt very privileged to be associated with such a group located so far away?
