by | 10-07-2013 21:05

A study made by an NGO, Mercy Crops Nepal revealed that more than 1,000 people loss their lives due to different natural calamities annually across the country.

The same study explored that more than 300 people loss their lives due to flooding and landslide and more than 1.2 billion worth property is destroyed each year due to disaster.

If we invested 1 euro in pre informatory system, property worth more than 3.5 euro can be saved.

According to this report 26,656 people lost their lives due to natural disaster  for past 37 years and 841,000 ha of land is severely eroded  and 236,000 livestock were killed in different calamities.

I think Changing climate is going to make poorer nations very  vulnerable in the coming days, if proper methods are not adapted in time.
