Yet another achievement by UAE in the direction of Green living UAE PM , Sheikh Mohammed approved Methane gas Extraction project . This outstanding project comes as part of the Municipality's vision in the area of sustainable development of the city promoting Dubai as a leading city in the field of green initiatives. The project called 2020 is the first in its kind in the region and designed to extract methane gas from the waste land fill area in Al Qusais, Dubai mitigating 250,000 tonnes of methane gas per year. Al Qusais landfill area starched in 3.5 km2 has been receiving 5,000 tonnes of waste per day. I am proud of being a UAE resident . Would look forward to more such projects. |
