Humans Use the Energy and a behavior shift is needed in them- Reported by Simran Vedvyas

It was indeed an interesting and enriching experience for some of the SynergY members who attended and learnt about the extremely important aspects about the current energy threats and the well needed social and behavioral change in humans. The behavioral aspects of Environmental Perseverance Global research and experiences presentation by Dr. Sea Rotmann, Co-Operating Agent at International Energy Agency was truly an eye opener.  The Event was well organized in Dubai, UAE by Energy Savers-The Powerful Solutions for a Cleaner tomorrow.  TPS Consultants Dubai UAE is a business technical advisory focused on Power and Energy sector.

We understood well that because we see increasing extreme weather events, climate refugees and wars fought over dwindling resources, and our planets biodiversity rapidly vanishing very lightly we overlook some of the biggest, and most immediate threats, namely ocean acidification to name.  Our inability to rise to these global, common threats is because they are not linear, straight-forward or easily measured as a concern.  However the rise in temperature is happening and the clear enough the outcomes are scary and to be seen in years to come.  The Key message that we all need to understand is that-

Humans use the energy, it is not the buildings, or homes or anything else and a behavior shift is needed in humans.  The good use of technology helps in the shift and facilitates but it cannot make it happen.

I strongly believe in a resolute effort by each one of us to ask a simple question to ourselves-What is the one thing that I can do today that will benefit the environment? ?and whatever the answer is, in their own capacity just DO IT.
