To harvest rain water & to popularize this culture The Wateraid Bangladesh & Rain Forum celebrated the 1st day of rainy season in the capital city through various activities. The program launched at BICC at morning by the Secretary of Citizens for Good Governance ( S. J. N : SUJON) Mr Bodiul Alam Mojumdar & the country director of Wateraid Dr Khayrul Islam. The President of Rain Forum Sayed Azizul Hoque was also present in that event.

Policy dialogue, exhibition, cultural program, award giving ceremony & unveiling of two books were in the event list.

20 stalls were available there to show model of different ways to harvest rain water in various circumstances. The visitors were very curious to know & to get answers regrading rain water harvesting methods. People from very various walks of life were present in that event & the TEG Ambassador to Bangladesh also visited this event to share & learn on environmental issues.
