Tree planting is at the heart of every academy of Plant-for-the-Planet. We planted 100 trees during this event , spread at two different locations. Out of this , 25 were Neem Trees which we planted at the Deira International School . Neem Trees are well known for their numerous uses.

Trees are the lungs of our planet and contribute effectively to the reduction of carbon footprint . They also help to bind the soil , provide shade , shelter and food .

Green Hope UAE member and presenter at this academy , Komal was quoted in The National as saying " I?ve personally planted more than 100 trees. My personal goal is to one day plant a million trees in the UAE." Teachers and students planted the saplings , side by side , ignoring the heat and it was truly an amazing site.
