          Green Hope UAE crossed another milestone in children and youth engagement towards a sustainable future by organising its most successful Plant-for-the-Planet academy till date at the Deira International School on 8th June. Held to commemorate World Environment Day and also World Oceans Day which falls on 8th June , this academy got an overwhelming turnout of almost 100 students and teachers from over 10 schools across the UAE. Green Hope UAE was founded by Year 7 student , Kehkashan Basu , of Deira International School and she is the Global Coordinator for UNEP's Major Groups for Children and Youth . She is also the newly elected Global President for the Children's Board of Plant-for-the-Planet for 2013~2014 and its academy coordinator for the UAE. She conducted the first two academies of the UAE on 22nd Sep2012 and 23rd Mar2013 respectively and has till date inducted over 250 students as Climate Justice Ambassadors .
