My trip to FAO

by | 19-06-2013 04:38

Hello Eco- generation friends,
I recently just got back from Rome, Italy and i want to narrate to you my experience at the FAO headquarter. For those of you who dont know, FAO stands for Food and Agriculture Organisation. I was awarded a trip to Italy and was given a chance to collect my prize at the FAO headquarters in Roma, Italia as i was the grand prize winner for a logo competition on Biodiversity in which i participated last year.

My logo will be published in several publications and it it with this i would like to emphasize on another way of sharing the environmental messages. 'Pictures speak a thousand words' and cuts across the language barrier between different nationalities. Our school environmental club has started placing posters around our school stressing on saving water and protecting wildlife which not only educates the high school students but students of lower levels.

You can find my logo which is within the theme of saving forests=  http://www.fao.org/climatechange/youth/75008/en/

I was privileged to receive my award from the Director of Climate, Energy and Tenure Division of Natural Resources Management and Environment Department XIANGJUN YAO.

Here are pictures of  my mum and I at the Headquarters.
