     A cycling rally called ?Riding Green? also took place over the weekend to promote an Eco friendly solution to commuting in the pollution ridden city of Dhaka. This segment intended to portray cycling as a relatively quicker mode of transportation amidst huge traffic gridlocks as well as a highly effective way to reduce air pollution. The final phase, ?Green Message? comprised of Volunteer for Bangladesh (VBD) putting up informative as well as morally hitting banners on the trees of all over Dhaka to generate awareness regarding the illegal and immoral eradication of trees in the hill tracks of Chittagong and other forest oriented areas of the country. |
