Celebrating my Birthday in Style

by Rohan Kapur | 07-06-2013 21:16

On 5th October 1932, a Hanno H42 (Hannibal Class) built by Hanley Page landed in Al Mahatta airport, Sharjah and was labeled as ?the first flight that landed in Sharjah?. On 5th October 2012, its 80th anniversary was celebrated by flying an Auster over Sharjah creek and Buhairah.

My birthday coincidently falls on the same day. When we hear about somebody?s birthday, the first thing that we are keen to know about is how the person celebrated their birthday. My birthday was celebrated by me in a unique way.

On that lovely morning, when everything seemed exuberant, a brainwave struck me. I decided that I should commemorate with laborers by serving them a luxurious treat.

On account of my 12 years I distributed cakes to these heroes which gave me innumerous amounts of sheer happiness. The embellished smile on their faces was peace-giving. I want to mention that these laborers, who were lined up in front of their labor camps were extremely civilized and well-mannered. This mannerism made it all the more satisfactory for me to distribute the cakes.

I want to call the attention of all the kids in the country, that if you really want to celebrate your birthday with regard to ample satisfaction, then this the way. Instead of spending money on lavish hotels or rich birthday parties, please do some unique celebration to respect the dignity of the needy. The beautiful smile of these laborers, their confident handshake and their blessings will be cherished by me till my birthdays to come.
