          Have we ever wondered how these laborers /construction workers work in miserable conditions like extreme heat , cold . They work to build buildings , offices , hotels , hospitals which further make our life comfortable. Without them we wont have all this infrastructure. Isn't it ? So they are our true heroes. We should honour them , do our bit for them. One fine day my dear friend Rohan Kapur (also Tunza ambassador) realised this and founded a very noble campaign/community called"Serve the Heroes". Today is the 1st birthday of this campaign. Yes, Rohan laid the foundation of "Serve the Heroes" an year ago on 24th May 2012. Since then he has been gathering everybody's support for this noble cause. When I came to know of this , I immediately expressed my desire to be an active part of it. Today we were about 10-12 children with few parents , who woke up early on our weekend to go and look for such heroes and give them snacks , juices , fruits as thank token for all what they have been doing for us in abnormal weather conditions. It was an amazing experience. If for few minutes , AC doesn't work we get restless , Imagine the plight of these workers who work in open sweating , without any kind of AC or fan. "Serve the Heroes" group does this once a month on Friday(UAE weekend). I am looking forward to next such opportunity to serve these Heroes. |
