It is 4th May (Saturday), 2013

Wake up! wake up...Get up!! It's 8.00 am. Wake up! My alarm was calling me from my absolute meditation (sleep). It is because we have a workshop today to form some young minds who are eagerly waiting to fight for the sake of environment since 28th March.

Finally at 10.30 am the event is launched by Professor Fuad H Mallick, PhD , Pro-VC of BRAC University. Later on, it was conducted by Professor Dr Mujibur Rahman ( Head of CE, BUET) where he has focused some crucial issues of environment with a clear-cut comparison with standard condition.  Later on the organizer have turned on the mainstream workshop from the opening ceremony.

Ashraful Alam Ratan, an young architect, an environmentalist & worker of Rain Forum, started his power-point presentation on water demand, water scarcity & present circumstances of water in Bangladesh. He also recommends to the policy makers as well as to the individuals to come forward protecting our nature by bringing change in our habits. He emphasized on the motto "Water is the last hope of life whereas rain water is one of the dependable options".

Merel Fuchs, a representative of UNV (United Nations Volunteer, Bangladesh) also shares some of her thoughts & made a survey on MYO before the lunch break.

Asif Rahman, an young lecturer of BRACU from the department (ex BUETian) discusses on air pollution & its relation with traffic congestion. The participants sat for two small quizes & one survey after each of the lectures.

The wonderful workshop ended with Certificate Giving Ceremony at 4.00 pm by the host that is Brac University Earth & Environment Forum at the presence of executive members. The president, Sadman Sakib Asif & Vice president, Anika Tahsin Jahan thanked everyone including participants, organizers, volunteers & coordinators.

The supporting partners of the event are  DUES (Dhaka University Environment Society), Rain Forum, Youth Work Bangladesh & Purple Magazine. 10:10 Bangladesh mainly collaborated with BUEEF.

Before coming back to our environment we learned a lot whereas we got together with some new & old friends which will energize our network.
