Appreciation By Embassy of India awarded to Simran Vedvyas

by Simran Vedvyas | 01-05-2013 20:45

As a student with strong communication skills and public speaking I made a presentation on the World Hindi Day 2013

The Monologue I presented was titled - Movements of the Monsoon.  I chose to touch a simple and very effective topic which described how well and effectively our ancestors could determine how and when the monsoons will arrive. They could gauge and guess by the movements of wind and breeze, accurately and today we use satellites and modern technologies which also give us great results but sometimes we can conclude to say that possibly our ancestors were more accurate in their approach because they were really VERY CLOSE TO THE NATURE.

Monsoons are very important for countries which thrive on agriculture or their economy is agriculture based.

Today even more important around the world because of the increasing world population and food scarcity and threats, which lead everyone including UNEP to promote and reduce food wastage also by campaigns like

Think, Eat, Save
