I was in Bangkok, Thailand on Earth Day , 22nd April 2013 working at an international level. I was at the UN in Bangkok , Thailand representing children and youth , alongwith four other global leaders like me , as a part of MGCY ( Major Groups for Children and Youth) and we were taking part in discussions and interventions on the Rio+20 outcomes on sustainability and the post2015 agenda.

As a buildup to Earth Day'13 , Green Hope UAE members planted 13 saplings as a symbolic gesture of solidarity with the !==!--object--==ive of reducing our carbon footprint.

Green Hope UAE members also took part in a walkathon organised by environmental organisation BEE'AH held on the picturesque Sharjah corniche.

Earth Day for us does not begin and end with one day == it is a 24 x 7 fight for climate justice and sustainable development involving all stakeholders and civil society in our march towards The Future We Want.
