MAKING OF TYRE POND

Tyre Ponds are a great little garden feature that can enhance the overall aesthetics and integrated pest management of a site. By inviting biodiversity into the site we can make the system more resilient and attractive which tyre ponds do so elegantly.

Here are the steps you need to do in order to create your own decorative pond. It is a fun way, that helps you re-use an old tire. Firstly what you need to do is dig a hole in the ground, the size of your tire. then make sure your tire fits perfectly in the hole and put it there. In the next step you will need to pad the inside of your tire with a nylon. then gather the parts of the nylon that are outside of the tire and fix them. What you need to do next is to fill the hole with water, doing this with a flexible tube introduced in the hole. the last part is the decoration. Here you can get as creative as you like.

Decorate the edges of your pond with different sizes of rocks, until you get the wanted design, and that?s all, at the end you?ll have your very own personalized little pond. If you have space in your garden, this idea is one worth trying ?
