![]() On 22nd March 2013, a devastating tornado swept through Brahmanbaria district of Bangladesh. This twister took 36 lives and injured many damaging houses, infrastructures, crops, trees amounting to around Taka 160 crore. Houses were demolished which resulted in people living under the open sky in small tents, leading a devastated lifestyle. School, mosques, markets everything was destroyed leaving no scope for a normal lifestyle. With crops and trees gone environment has been largely affected. Health related diseases are escalating due to lack of pure water and healthy sanitation. I visited this cyclone swept area yesterday (5th April, Friday) with my friend to carry out a survey. After looking around and going through everything I decided to help them and improve their drinking water and sanitary system. i will also carry out a tree plantation program as thousands of trees were damaged. These victims are receiving different types of aid from both public and private sector. Food, different useful items such as dishes, glass, mosquito nets, coil, tubewell, water jug, etc are being sent to them on a regular basis. Save Our Mother Nature.
