THEMATIC REPORT (INTRODUCTION TO RENEWABLE ENERGY)

by EmmanuelE Okon | 20-10-2022 03:17

Renewable energy is energy that is collected from renewable resources that are naturally replenished on a human timescale. It includes sources such as sunlightwind, the movement of water, and geothermal heat. Although most renewable energy sources are sustainable, some are not.

In Nigeria one of her main sources of power is hydro and thermal plant, but yet the countries still suffers in adequate power supplies in some regions which cannot be over emphasized. The inability to drive into other sources of energy has been a problem which over years, the  of exploitation and refining of crude oil to fuel has become the main sources of energy. With has really increased the global warming and environmental pollution.

If no reason is behind the diversification of power in renewabble energies but the  vast effect of fossil fuel on the environment must be areason as the environment is no longer safe for both plants, animals and human.
The use of fossil fuel in small power generating set has increased in noise pollution and carbon monoxide from different set daily in the society..

As a final year student in Computer engineering I was working on an automated power supply system for solar system, for it to have the ability to detect failed part of the system and also help to discover spoilt solar panel.

Introduction to renewable eneeergy therefore also has it pros and cons which as result must be considered before fully diversifying into it.
A research work by me has discovered that if the whole world diversify into solar system which voltages are stored in batteries. Another negative effect is hazardous materials are used in production of solar panels and batteries.

We therefore have to make review of which renewable energy will be best.
