[October Thematic Report] Energy Generation

by Yulduzkhon Abdurakhmonova | 18-10-2022 22:02

In our century, where everything is connected to technology, energy generation plays a major role in producing electric supply with the usage of fuel oil, natural gas, and renewable natural resources such as wind, sunlight, water, and so on.

The methods of generating energy are increasing in the amount due to the development of technological science. There are three ways of energy generation that people are most familiar with: nuclear energy, fossil fuels, and renewable energy sources. The hydropower method is considered the best among other methods since 95% of the energy of flowing water converts to electricity and the other 5% may become heat or another form of energy.

According to the last annual electricity production of energy, China is the largest producer of electricity followed by the United States, India, Russia, Japan, etc. Although the United States used to be the major producer and at the same time the biggest consumer of electricity all around the world, it did change in 2011.

As the environment varies between countries, it also affects the production of electricity. For instance, in China, 80% of electricity is manufactured from fossil fuels but in France, it is only 10%. In Turkiye coal, gas and hydropower are the leading sources of electrical power.

Even though generating energy is the most significant factor in human revolution, it has lots of disadvantages. Most countries all around the world are heavily dependent on fossil fuels, which are filled out infinity amount of many times, so they do not come to end soon. Fossil fuels are non-renewable, meaning that they are problematic to get rid of. Unlike renewable sources are environmentally friendly because they are generous, reusable, and unceasing. Their advantages are spectacular.
