The theme for 2013 World Environment Day is Think.Eat.Save.

At a press conference held during the course of the First Universal Session of the Governing Council , UNEP announced Mongolia as the venue of the 2013 World Environment Day.

The panelists at the press conference were the President of the Governing Council , Mr Achim Steiner , Mr. Nick Nuttall , Ms Christina Figueres and the Vice-Environment minister of Mongolia.

Mongolia?s President had been chosen as one of UNEP?s Champions of the Earth2012 for his leadership role in having a positive impact on the environment and driving Mongolia?s drive towards Green Economy.

I attended the press conference in my capacity as the Global Coordinator for Children and Youth and through this report am reaching out to civil society with the message and theme of WED2013.
