![]() Orangutan is one of the rare animals in the world's endangered species. Orangutans are only found in the tropical forests of Indonesia (Borneo and Sumatra) and Malaysia. Sumatran Orangutan has been entered in the classification of Critically Endangered in the IUCN list. Its population dropped dramatically where in 1994 the number reached more than 12,000, but in 2003 to about 7,300 individuals. The data in 2008 reported that the estimated number of Sumatran Orangutans in the wild live only about 6,500 birds. Seeing orangutans in appalling conditions, many different methods are used to campaign for orangutan care. The campaign is also not exclusively done by the government or the observer of wildlife, even we can do the campaign. |
