Sad Story behind the Beauty of Hidden Heaven, Sempu Islandby | 26-02-2013 00:55 |

![]() ![]() No kidding, it's real. A lot of empty plastic bottles, food wrappings, and a lot of other stuff that are not supposed to be seen in this national park. Many visitors who camped there deliberately leaving the dirt remnants of their needs so in the other side, this island looked rundown and irregular. I was very concerned to see it all. I also tried to make Aulia, one of my friends, to do cleaning with our best we can. But because the trashes in here are too much and we didnt bring trash bags as we used to do so as we attempt was in vain. It is a beautiful place. It still is, even with non-degradable plastic bags floating in the turquoise water and scattered on the sand, so imagine how beautiful the place used to be WITHOUT the trash. If we let Sempu Island tainted by ignorance visitors, the greater risk is waiting. Hopefully this does not happen again when I come back to this island. :( |
