  I am so sad! I found out that our Philippine Department of Education decided last year to remove Science from its Grade 1 and Grade 2 curriculum all over the country. Why are they doing this? I learned to love Science as a little boy and got to understand concepts including those about the Environment when I was in first and second grade. The Secretary of Education said they want to make learning more "enjoyable" and the curriculum to become more "child-friendly". I don't know about that! I enjoyed all those fun things we did which made Science my favorite subject. And making it child-friendly will really depend on how the teacher teaches it. Can someone rethink this please??? I can say my love for SCIENCE and the ENVIRONMENT started a a young age...
