You may already heard about Global Youth Forum, right?  I met some of TUNZA Eco-Gen Ambassadors as well there as the participants, but here you are what we have done as the committee.

With the tagline of #beproactive #beproductive, we tried to give our best in organizing the event. We started our live work from 1 – 7 December 2012 in Bali. A good teamwork from the young team in collaboration with the UN International Steering Committee and the Y&R MICE Bali can support the succeeds of this Global Youth Forum, even from simple little things that affected this event. We hoped that the recommendation of Global Youth Forum could be spread more world-wide with real supports from every element to make it happen and raise people's awareness of youth voice. There were some parts of tasks in this event, such as Runner, Medical Assistant, Networking Communicator, and others. As a networking communicator itself, we do filtering recommendations & coordinating translations of recommendations, Compiling accepted recommendations, as well as Publishing recommendations on website database CMS and social media (see the points of final recommendations below).

After a month, we have been a strong community, taking care one another from every little detail, such as giving special greeting video for those who celebrate birthday, sharing information on the new recruitment of events, new year's eve celebration, and so on. Even better, we already prepare the "Valentine's Day Trip" to Bandung on 15-16 Feb! This is what we call as the new family. In participating in an event, it is not only about the photographs, the journey abroad, but it is also more about what's next after you join in.

As a closing, I would like to share some inspiring remarks from the plenary sessions:

• Meredith Waters on staying healthy issue, "Staying healthy is about healthy living & positive youth development"
• Chernor Bah on education issue, "comprehensive education really depends on the ease access to get the education"
• Michael Wierchert on decent work issue, "the key factors of vocational education are partnership with business community, learning process in working areas, social adaptation to the working standard, staff training, and institutional research?"
• Sivananthi Thanenthiran on youth right issue, "It is crucial to recognize and realize young people's need on comprehensive sexuality education"
• Rachel Arinii J. on leadership issue that elaborated the importance of having respect to diversity, "Young people is diverse in nature"

While some insights from Indonesian representatives:

• Agnes Monica speech that has inspired us to not afraid to start an action, no matter what people say "Our future doesn't depend on what people think about us – Dream, believe, and make it happen"
• Angga Dwi Martha speech that has motivated the big role of youth engagement through the analogy of Angklung, "We cant play alone, we cant work alone. Let's start together, we start here from Bali"

It is more about the youth spirit! It is not me myself alone, but us ourselves as a unity! Just as a quick reminder, this Global Youth Forum is only a road to ICPD Youth. Be ready for 2014 as youth voice should be heard!
