BETTER NATURE IS THE ONLY GIFT WE CAN GIVE TO FUTURE GENERATIONS

by | 15-02-2013 01:22

?We don?t inherit the earth from our ancestors we borrow it from our children?. This is undoubtedly a wonderful expression that evokes images of the past, present and future all in one sentence.

It is a quote that stills dawdles on my mind, as I first read it in one of my text books in the junior sections.

This quote had set me thinking and I was bit confused as to what it meant. And one fine morning I sat down to research further on the subject. On further research I found that life has more than watching soap operas and partying around. This was my first step towards the journey in the field of environment and the challenges that we all face today.

I belong to the generation of the millennial, the generation born after 1989.I am proud of the very fact that we are born in the millennium. Isn?t that wonderful?.we are indeed a part of the millennium, the millennial and how many of us get this honor, fame and name.

Now that is a high tech name that we have inherited from our forefathers but let me remind you that though we have inherited this name, we have not inherited the earth from our ancestors, we have borrowed it from our children?, and when we borrow things from others it becomes our prime responsibility to take good care of the things that we have borrowed and return it in good condition.

We are the millennial generation, the computer savvy generation, and gadget freak as we call ourselves but do we realize that we also bear a colossal responsibility towards the environment that is losing its control.

I don?t think that anyone needs to be told that the EARTH IS DYING and if we don?t take the right steps now, we will have nothing to share with our younger generations, except a few photographs of the lovely earth that we boast off today. When these beauties of nature are lost, the photographs will be our only reminders.

I dread to even think of that. So I took a choice?.. To be a part of the environment activities at school and outside to help save the earth. With small and simple steps that we all can take a lot can be achieved. Many a time it is the small steps that make the difference in the life.

The planet was green and beautiful but man?s greed has messed it up. Now is the time to pay back. Join me in this mission and let us save the earth.to support me in this mission please send me an email at simran5396@hotmail.com. I have a group dedicated to this service.
