Dear Eco generation friends,
Sorry i haven't posted for long, was busy with school final examinations.
Anyways, i am back!

Today's topic is Ethanol Powered cars

Ethanol Powered cars are being used in Brazil. How do they work?
Brazil has large plantation of sugarcane. Ethanol is then fermented and one of the products of fermentation is ethanol. It is then distilled and used as fuel for cars. This sustainable to Brazil's economy due to large sugarcane output.

Advantages
-No fossil fuels being exploited
-Produces lower carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide
-Cheaper
-Widely available and easy to use
-Creates job in agriculture sector
-More energy is produced when combusted

Disadvantages
-Land is being cleared to grow sugarcane for fuel and as a result animals and people are forced out of their habitats.
-Consumers have to fill their cars more often
