Title: [September thematic report] Extreme weather
Month 1, Report 1

Unexpected, uncommon, severe, or out-of-season weather as well as weather at the extremes of the historical distribution are examples of extreme weather or extreme climate occurrences. Extreme events are frequently characterized as occurring in the unnatural and unobserved occurrences based on a location's historical meteorological data. The three main categories of extreme weather are tropical cyclones, heat waves, and cold waves. Increased economic expenses, human fatalities, droughts, floods, landslides, and ecosystem changes are all results of extreme weather occurrences.

Widespread changes in weather patterns are linked to an increase in the global average temperature. Human-induced climate change is likely to increase the frequency or intensity of extreme weather events including heat waves and big storms. The changes in temperature, precipitation, storms, floods, and droughts that have been observed are the main topics of extreme weather.

Long-term climatic changes have the potential to destabilize many facets of society, either directly or indirectly. For instance, higher average temperatures could affect the spread of diseases like Lyme disease and raise air conditioning expenditures, but they might also make it easier to cultivate particular crops. The hazard from more extreme weather changes extends to society. Increased disease and fatalities from high heat events, particularly among vulnerable populations, as well as crop damage, can result from more frequent and powerful heat waves. Intense storms can damage property, result in fatalities and population displacement, and temporarily interrupt vital services including transportation, telecommunications, energy, and water supplies. However, greater precipitation can replenish water supplies and help crops.

So, extreme weather is as a result of climate change. We must act on time to get rid of it.
