This story is quite similar with Wangari Maathai as the global woman inspirator. Look at the below pictures: the 1st Picture is Radan Adjeng Kartini and the 2nd photo is the celebration of R.A Kartini Day R. A Kartini (Raden Adjeng Kartini) is the Indonesia's leading feminist who was born on 21 April 1879 in Jepara, Central Java. She is one of national women heroes has been the meaning of emancipation. Emancipation here is the equality a minor to attain independence from high pressure such as the same degree between woman and man in education and other life aspects. During the period of the Dutch occupation, there are no education for women. The assignments of the women were to end up giving birth and stay in the kitchen all the time. But, it was different with men because they were free to do something. As an aristocratic Javanese woman, Kartini was a lucky woman who got high level education. But she was so sad when she was hearing a lot of barriers in education for women. She started to inspire women in getting education and against injustice. Later, she determined to establish a school especially for women. She started to teach how to read and write as well as other important skills. From the above, lessons learned are by high struggle and endeavor, we can attain what we want to make others of being happy we have the similar level between woman and men so that there are no differences where only one that will make us different which is the faith to God and please care and respect minors and don?t seclude them. |
