East and Southeast Asia (specifically Nepal) are presented with immense challenges of water supply for agriculture. There needs to be enhanced productivity of irrigated agriculture to meet future challenges. This article/paper aims to propose new initiatives of participatory irrigation management and irrigation management transfer for irrigation systems.
