    This month of October 2012, I joined the CLEAR Youth Network Congress which was held in Rizal Re-Creational Center in Rizal, Laguna Philippines. There were about 50+ youth participants representing 10 towns around Laguna Lake and the seven lakes of San Pablo City. At the congress, we talked about our desired projects for this schoolyear 2012-2013. Some of these projects are our recent projects that we still need to continue like the water quality testing and Sachare (sachet recovery) projects. We also had some resource speakers from around the Philippines who talked about the different bodies of water and the threats against them. We also learned about global warming and how climate change affects our waterways and vise versa. At the CLEAR conference, I met youth who were also environmentally minded which makes we want to do more for our earth. Knowing that I am not alone and that I and many others are doing something to protect our environment inspires me to do my best for future generations to come.
