![]() Not just Korea, but the United States suffers heavily from the record hot heat wave this year. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the first six months of 2012 were the hottest January through June, ever recorded in the lower 48 states. And, today, the NASA scientist, Mr.James Hansen told the Senate panel that current warming was due to a build-up of carbon dioxide and other gases in the atmosphere from burning fossil fuels. Mr.Hansen and his fellow scientists released a study which stated that the abnormal heat wave was from climate change and given the evidence of abnormal temperature occurrent from 1950s through 1980, where the odds were rarer than 1 in 300, but the current, where the odds are nearer to 1 in 10. To think that our recent suffering is from our own bringing again alert us how we must work for the saving environment toward the future. source:http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/ |
