Soybean, is one of the most popular foodstuff in Indonesia, usually people use it to make traditional food.  Soybean consumption rate in Indonesia is constantly high, this year it reach 2,6 million ton but in the other hand Indonesia can only produce soybean as much as 800 000 ton.  So, to fulfill soybean consumption rate, government import a lot of soybean especially from United Stated.

Today?s condition, there?s a soybean crisis in Indonesia because severe drought that happen in USA made them can?t supply soybean.  Soybean price became high, followed by food price increasing especially food that came from soybean.  This condition burdening people especially poor one, it?s make life cost increase.  But fortunately, now the government had done some policy to reduce soybean price.

This case show us, how environment work.  Agriculture (as the biggest contributor for food) still depent on climate and environment.  A little bit change on climate and environment can made a big impact for human life, so if we learn from this case we gonna know that keep the environment is more important than we thought.
