![]() Many green technology is introduced to the U.S. 2012 Olympic teams. The jersey top is made of 96% polyester, and the short 100% polyester from using former plastic bottles. Even the performance is better. Due to the engineered fabrics which have fewer seams and mesh in some area, the short weighs 14 ounces lighter than the average professional basketball uniform short. The recycled plastic bottles are washed and chopped into bits before they are melted down into thread. Nike introduces new soccer shoes which reduce waste and extra weight. The shoes uses castor bean oil, recycled plastics and kenaf plant fibers. Nike spokesman says the product is 15% lighter than those of its competitors. Sources: Yahoo!
