![]() Hi everyone!! Sorry for being late but here I'm sharing about my experience during WED(World Environment Day) 2012. Starting here, I'd planned to organize an event name, "Green Drive: Give Us a Moment for a Movement Rio+20" in open stadium of Gopalganj, India but it fails. It was summer when no body wanna come out from their home in June 2012, India. I'd planned and designed a complete event which could mobilize a generation of the city and the audience around the world. A complete 20 days, I'd ran to the many corporates offices and knock them for sponsorship. I'd meet almost 20 company representatives and collected 50% amount for the event. Many of them said, "I'll call you tomorrow." but the sad thing was nobody's call rang my phone next day. I'd tried so hard but fails to collect sufficient sponsorship for the event. But tells not ends here, I went back to my village and start searching youth group who inspired to be agent of change. Some characteristics about the villages, "No electricity, No Education Quality, No transportation system, in short, there's not anything that could help the people to grow up." But still, some motivated youth groups were active to whom I'd interacted. I'd it, I'd celebrated WED with youth of villages. Whole day, we do lots of world to motivate them so than they could never deactivate. During this period, I realize that they trying so hard but the nobody realize that how much important their effort are. In one week, I'd visited 5 villages and motivated around 200 youth and adults. I just wanted to catch your eye towards efforts of those youth who are working in the field of Environment but due to lack of facilities, their efforts are not reaching to the people. If you've any suggestion/idea to bring them and respect their effort then please write to me: balraj.arpit@gmail.com This is how my event fails but I succeed. :) You can join me: greenyouthgeneraiton.co.nr |
