conserving the world heritage site

MOROGORO — The conservation site at Morogoro (about 350 km from Dar es Salaam, a Tanzania commercial City) is a living example of what can be accomplished by hard work and motivation. In 2008, JGR&S met with Mbete community members to discuss whether communities were willing to prioritize conserving the world heritage site - the mount Uluguru and its pristine environments. They were encouraged to grow seedlings, plant trees for different purposes and extending conservation education to the children, teachers, leaders and communities. The center that is coordinated by Ramadhani Ngoma as a Volunteer has already made some encouraging progress.
