The dialogue days from 16^th to 19^th June , were of great significance as they covered the various ecosystems from forests to oceans which are integral to our dream of sustainable development and growth .

In the main Rio pavilion, there is a huge wall where delegates can stick their messages for the world to read . I showed my solidarity and as the TUNZA Ecogeneration representative stuck my message on this ?FUTURE WE WANT? wall .

Every morning , at 9am , I attend the UNCSD MGCY daily meeting , representing my region. IT WAS A GREAT HONOUR FOR ME , AS A 12 YEAR OLD , TO BE CHOSEN AS ONE OF THE JUDGES , TO SELECT THE MGCY DELEGATE WHO WOULD READ OUT OUR STATEMENT AT THE OPENING PLENARY . I was also a member of the SPEECH WRITING panel.

I attended the dialogues at the main conference hall on ?OCEANS? . The plenary was managed by eminent oceanographer and explorer , Phillipe Cousteau . Eminent scientists and explorers on the panel exhorted us to manage the fragile biodiversity of our oceans.

The UAE pavilion is one of the most impressive amongst the ones located in Athlete?s Park opposite Rio Centro. It was a great privilege to MEET THE UAE DELEGATION AND BE INTRODUCED TO THE UAE FEDERAL MINISTER OF ENVIRONMENT , Dr. RASHID AL FAHD . HE CONGRATULATED ME ON WINNING THE UN AWARD AND WE SAT IN THE MAJLIS IN THE UAE PAVILION . WHAT A MOMENT !

I also attended two very important side events – on the ?Power of One Child? and the ?Role of Mountains in Promoting Green Growth? where Nobel Laureate R.K.Pachauri spoke .

In the evening , I was invited to attend the GLOBAL SUSTAINABLE LEADERS FORUM as a youth ambassador representing the Middle East and TUNZA Ecogeneration . I presented my views for the future I want for children and youth with emphasis that we children must be allowed to speak and demand for our ourselves.
