Every year on World Environment Day , which is also my birthday , I plant  a tree . This year , I am in Rio de Janeiro , to take part in Rio+20 and it was an amazing experience ,as the Regional Ambassador for the Middle East , to be a part of UNEP?s World Environment Day challenge in Rio . It was a grand event attended by several dignitaries and celebrities . The venue was the lush green and beautiful Museum of National History in Rio where the GREEN NATION FEST was underway .

I had the immense privilege of taking part in this green activity which was attended by Gisele Bundchen , supermodel and UNEP?s goodwill ambassador , Brazilian Environment Minister Izabella Teixeira, Mayor of Rio de Janeiro Eduardo Paes and UNEP Executive Director Achim Steiner . It was indeed a very proud moment for me when I presented my TUNZA Ecogeneration visiting card to Mr Achim Steiner .

I received a certificate for taking part in the GREEN NATION FEST and a small sapling of genus ?TAMANQUEIRA? will be planted in my name in the National Park of Grumari which is located just outside Rio .

This was an amazing experience on World Environment Day at a truly international level.
