Music is great way to bring people together for a cause . It is also very effective in conveying social messages . This was the idea behind organizing a concert for Earth Day2012 at our music institute . Under the guidance of the director, we sent out invitations , decorated the institute with Earth Day posters , arranged the sound system , distributed flyers to popularize the event . The evening was very well attended and performances were given by children of all ages . Songs revolved around the theme of Earth Day i.e. green living , sustenance, peace and harmony . I played the piano , guitar and sang two solos .

The evening concluded with my speech on the importance of sustainable living and the important role , we children , should play in determining a green future.
