Reaching out with a song

                                                          Reaching out with a song

Music and stories are the best ways of creating interest among people of any society. We, the Tarumitra members from De Paul School have always believed in the power of music and drama to reach out to our parents and people at large. Our activities include taking messages about being environment- friendly and adopting eco- friendly life style changes through the time-tested method of song and dance along with interestingly woven stories through drama. Most often these would be presented in telugu ,the language spoken in our city and English. I?m extremely happy and proud to say that our programs have always been a huge success with many requests to share them with teachers from other schools. The credit goes to my teachers who plan, and  execute all the plans with utmost attention  to detail. This year we went ahead with a stall run by Tarumitra volunteers where we had plants of different varieties including medicinal plants. Needless to say it was a big draw, where people thronged the stall. This year on June 5th  we will be presenting a skit at the World Environment Day celebrations organised by the Energy Management Department ofVizag Steel . I?m eagerly looking forward for the day.
