In order to improve sustainability , one must address all of its three pillars . Therefore , without working towards improvement of society and economy , the core issue of environment cannot be fully addressed. Towards this goal , peace plays a major role in development and socio-economic stability . On 6th April , I walked for peace , as a part of the DUBAI PEACE MARCH .  

In today's strife torn world , the word 'peace' was given a new relevance by this march . Led by HH Shaikh Mansoor bin Mohammed , this march, staged on Shaikh Zayed Road,  brought together young and old alike from different faiths and cultures , in a resounding vote for peace . In a way, this march of almost 10,000 people resembled the true essence of the UAE where people of all races and countries live and work in harmony . The flock of paratroopers who descended from the sky , the roaring Harley Davidson bikes , the sleek convertibles and us, flag waving children, all added to the mood of the event . It was indeed a wonderful display of harmony for the rest of the world to emulate.

This peace march will be followed by the DUBAI INTERNATIONAL PEACE CONVENTION?  - to be held from today till 14^th April .  As a regional ambassador , I have spread the word  in my neighborhood and also amongst several of my school mates . I will be attending this peace summit and I have urged my school mates also to attend. This will be a good opportunity to learn how peace can contribute to a more sustainable society. I am posting this on the ambassador report to spread the word , not only in UAE but also within the region for greater participation.
