   'THE WORLD IS THIRSTY, BECAUSE WE ARE HUNGRY' This is the catchphrase of the World Water Day which is echoing across the globe. To express solidarity with this movement , as part of an international NGO , we organised a walk at Jumeirah beach yesterday . The iconic Burj Al Arab loomed in the background and seemed to bless us . We sang 'We are the world' and emphasised that as its children we have a right to a better tomorrow and not to a dry and thirsty planet. People from all walks of life joined the walk -- the raging Arabian sea in the background seemed to echo the mood . Apart from this , my article on saving water and reducing its wastage was published as a community report in 'GULF NEWS' the region's largest English daily .
