![]() In Milan, Italy, there are the world's first forest in the sky apartments which come with a living space with gardens. These 365 and 260-foot emerald twin towers, with trees equal to one hectare of forest spanning 27 floors, will be home to an 730 trees, 5000 shrubs and 11,000 ground plants. While the towers, called the Bosco Verticale, are under construction, the plants are being grown in pots. The towers will change their appearance as the season changes with new plants growing in spring and autumn. The towers will not only be home to human residents but also to the insects, birds and animals which live in the parks of Milan. The construction will be completed at the end of 2012. What a true green living it will be! Hats off to the architect who comes up with the idea!! |
