![]() On January 26,the research, done by the office of National Statistics, found that the British population convinced that climate change was happening has dropped from 86%(2006) to 76%(2011) last summer. Over the same period, population who willing to change their lifestyle to save environment has dropped from 77% to 65%. Fewer people said they were willing to use public transport and only one in five said they would cutback air travels. The findings came as the British government published a risk assessment warning of thousands of deaths due to climate change in coming decades. 3 continuous cold winter, and expensive cost of renewable energy source are blamed for the people's decreasing cause of saving environment. Also the British government's lukewarm attitude toward global warming policy is regarded as another source of population's lack of passion for environment. |
