The capital of Nepal, Kathmandu, is famous for being the city of thousand temples. The valley is famous for its traditional art and craft too. The garbage disposal of the city is not well maintained. People throw garbage on road sides. Local municipality is responsible for collecting the garbage and disposing it. The final disposal point is also not appropriate as it is near human settlements and is done in plain fields. Time to time, due to disputes between different bodies the disposal of garbage is affected. Again due to dispute, the disposal has been affected and the capital is being covered in garbage. Walkers and even riders and local residents are finding it difficult because of the foul smell and improperly disposed garbage. |
