by | 23-08-2011 19:52

(I posted this on ecogeneration.com on 02/10/10, hence the outdatedness)

A magnitude 3.0 earthquake occurred yesterday, on February 9th, Tuesdsay evening, its epicenter located just outsidde western Seoul. Although there were no injuires or serious propert damage it was the strongest tremor recorded in the capital city since 1987, when the administration began to monitor earthquakes in Korea.

``The tremor continued for two or three seconds,?? the administration said in a briefing. Residents especially in western Seoul reported that the quake was strong enough for them to feel the buildings they were in shaking.

The quake was the seventh to hit the Korean peninsula this year alone, the KMA added.

And while we're on the subject of earthquakes, may the haiti victims stay strong in front of pain and adversities. Bless them all.
