Climate change is a long-term change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns over periods of time that range from decades to millions of years. The Industrial Revolution was a period from the 18th to the 19th century where major changes in agriculture, manufacturing, mining, transport, and technology had a profound effect on the socioeconomic and cultural conditions starting in the United Kingdom, then subsequently spreading throughout Europe, North America, and eventually the world. In the early 18th Century, the Industrial revolution was initiated. The level of carbon in the atmosphere at that time was 250 parts per million. Today, after two centuries its 387.18 ppm resulting the global temperature to rise. The level of carbon is the major cause of global warming as it blocks the returning of the radiation of the sun back. During the industrial revolution, most of the industries were coal fueled. Various vehicles were used for transportation of raw materials which caused the emission of harmful gases in the atmosphere. Road links were also built which caused the destruction of habitat of biodiversity. Eventually, there was growth in industries and vehicles and loss of habitat due to which today we are facing the problem of climate change. The rise in sea-level is even questioning the lives of biodiversities and even human beings. Let's stop talking and start acting so we can save our mother nature. |
